Medio 2009 heeft de vak groep LTOBiologica een voorstel geformuleerd om de afzet en het gebruik van biologische mest in Nederland te stimuleren. Met als uitgangspunt: alle sectoren kunnen aan de nieuwe regels voldoen. Het ministerie van LNV heeft dit voorstel grotendeels overgenomen. De toezichts taak ligt bij Skal. In de praktijk blijkt nu dat de toepassing van de aangescherpte mestregels leidt tot nieuwe vragen en onduidelijkheden.
Mid 2009 the organic branch of LTO-Nederland, the Dutch Federation of Agriculture and Horticulture, formulated a proposal to stimulate the distribution and application of organic manure in the Netherlands. The starting point was: all sectors can meet the new rules. The Ministry of Agriculture has adopted this proposal largely. Supervision is done by SKAL. In practice it is found that application of the tightened rules leads to new questions and matters that are not clear.
